The Lower Arboretums expansive, gently sloping space is anchored by unique tree specimens, such as the majestic Fern Leaf Beech and the Weeping European Beech, known to some as “The Magic Tree” and provides a transition from the Azalea Lane and Barn Ruins gardens to the more natural riparian forest and meadow areas encompassing the ponds.
From here visitors may access several of our walking trails that encircle the ponds and pass through the woods.
